How I built a model railroad in an apartment and still got my security back.

6/10/09, The Base is built:
Well that was easy. For the base, I went to Hobby Lobby and purchased four sheets of 30” x 20” foam core board. The next step was to duct tape the sections together and squirt foam tack glue into the joints. While the glue was setting, I drew the outline for the lower (green) loop onto the base. The next step will be to dismantle the PR&Y and salvage as many usable parts as I can. I also intend to affix the base to a wooden frame for additional rigidity. Once the glue is dry I began laying track on the lower (Green) loop. That’s about all I can do until I get my risers from Woodland Scenics.
